Our platform collects three types of data, they include:
Such data may include personal information, location data, signature data, biometric data, financial data. Personal information is any information that can lead to the identification of a person or any information that if combined with any other information can lead to the identification of a person. Other data collected either by automated means or by the input of the User are not regarded as Personal information unless such information can be linked to a particular User. Such data may be collected for the purpose of identifying a device, browser or location.
Users either gather information such as personal data and other types of data as “Agents” or view gathered data as “Admin”. An Admin must provide his/her name, the Organisation name, email address and a self-selected password. An Admin may provide additional information such as telephone number, Organisation sector and bank account information in order to facilitate agent payments.
An Agent who is gathering data must provide his/her name, email address, telephone number and country.
Admins or Agents may voluntarily provide additional information to DataBeaver or the Platform for example, when seeking customer support or in response to surveys or other inquiries. All information provided shall be kept strictly Private and Confidential by DataBeaver save instances where the law requires disclosure or where necessary to provide a service to You.
DataBeaver or the Platform may obtain information about Users from third parties, such as identity verification services and Payment details. The Platform may provide DataBeaver with additional information such as the User’s transactional history on the Platform.
DataBeaver may automatically record certain information about or related to your use of the Services and the Platform that is made available through your computer or device. Three of such technologies are described hereunder –
Cookies - DataBeaver collects certain information from the User’s browser using small data files called “cookies”. For example, DataBeaver may use session cookies to help recognize a User who visits multiple website pages during the same session so that the User does not have to enter a password to access each page. Session cookies terminate once the User closes the browser. By default, DataBeaver also uses persistent cookies to collect, store and track information. For example, DataBeaver uses persistent cookies to store the User’s login ID (but not the User’s password) to make it easier for the User to login when the User returns to the website. We encode our cookies so that only us can interpret the information stored in them. You can remove or block persistent cookies using the settings in your browser, but this may limit your ability to use our Services.
Clear GIFs and Web Beacons – DataBeaver may employ a software technology called clear gifs or web beacons that help us better manage content on DataBeaver and in DataBeaver emails, by informing us what content is effective. Clear gifs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar function to cookies and are used to track the online movements of the Web users. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a User’s computer hard drive, clear gifs are embedded invisibly on Web pages and are about the size of the period at the end of this sentence.
DataBeaver uses User information primarily in order to develop, operate, support, maintain, enhance and provide the Services. User information is also used to process payment transactions; to provide data, insights and reports; to resolve disputes, collect fees and troubleshoot problems and improve the Services; and to enforce our agreements with Platforms and our Terms of Service and Super-Admin Agreement with Users.
DataBeaver uses User Information for our administrative and operational purposes. DataBeaver may notify You of changes in the Services, or may solicit your feedback or may conduct market research or may send You promotional materials. To unsubscribe from promotional emails, click the “unsubscribe” link in the email.
In essence, DataBeaver uses information collected about You to meet or fulfil legal obligations and provide better service.
